Joe is our technical lead in defining, developing, integrating, and deploying all of our high-performing, scalable, and cloud-based, desktop and mobile applications. As our Principal Software Engineer, Joe listens to what our clients want and creates software to help solve their complex business problems.  Joe is tasked with overseeing all of our software development and technical projects and needs to push red technologies into new industry-leading technologies to always be at the top of our game. He takes a leadership/mentorship role over all other developers and engineers to make sure we always meet our high standards of excellent software development and technical needs for our clients.

Joe has four different computer and IT-based degrees, with over 20 years of experience in the technology field. His favorite type of project involves developing cloud-first microservice architecture and integrating artificial intelligence into service architecture to help with automation and intelligent systems as well as blockchain technologies to help with personal identity security. Some of us have no idea what that means, but his wide-ranging technology skill set makes him a real asset to Red Tech and our clients. Even in his spare time, you can find Joe tinkering with new software ideas. But when Joe does get away from his desk, he enjoys golf, golf and more golf, as well as spending time with his girlfriend, her daughters, and his two dogs.

Katie is our newest project manager who loves building connections and relationships with people (and clients). She is very adaptable and loves being around people with all different personalities and backgrounds. Katie has a knack for getting along with just about everyone she meets. 

Following college graduation, Katie worked in public accounting for 7 years. She started as a CPA, and then, because of her ability to coordinate staff to get projects done and her love of working with clients, she became an accounting manager.

After having children, Katie left public accounting to become a self-employed accountant and started Katie B Photography, which turned out to be a successful photography business for 8 years. She also took up running and ran five marathons, including the Boston Marathon.

We are thrilled that Katie has now taken on the role of project manager with Red Technologies, to once again enjoy coordinating staff and projects and to get to work with clients.

Katie has lived in Buffalo, MN, for the last 19 years with her husband, Jeff, and their sons. (Two still live with them, and the third is now grown.) Her free time consists of making food around the clock for two teenage boys, staying up late waiting for them to get home, watching them play basketball, football, and throw the discus, running (with friends only), lifting weights, watching guilty pleasure TV and listening to beauty podcasts. She is the treasurer of the high school football boosters and helps out on the high school basketball boosters.  Katie is a skincare enthusiast and loves to help her friends learn about skincare ingredients and put them on new regimens!

About Sarah:

Sarah likes creating things. Whether it’s a new website, a new recipe to try, or building/fixing something up, she finds enjoyment in working on projects. She lives in Delano, MN with her family and loves to be outdoors.

After graduating from the University of Minnesota Duluth, Sarah spent a few years doing various jobs. After working with others in the IT field, she found editing and creating websites to be a great fit for her. She started working as a web developer with Red Technologies back in 2013. In 2018, she had her first kid and decided to take a break to focus on being a stay-at-home mom. Now that her kids are in school, she is very excited to be back. (And we are excited to have her back!)

Sarah’s free time is spent with her husband, two kids, and their pets. She loves watching her kids grow and try new things. Her family loves to play with their dog, cat and chickens. When Sarah does manage to sneak away, she enjoys playing soccer, running and snowboarding.

Kelly is one of Red Tech’s Project Managers, who truly enjoys learning about a client’s business and figuring out how to best help them achieve their goals. Her personality is both easygoing and straightforward and she loves to laugh. A mother of four with a cat, four dogs and 10 chickens, Kelly excels at organization both at home and on the job. She keeps Red Tech projects on schedule, excels at troubleshooting and brings excitement to the team—as long as she doesn’t miss her morning coffee. Married mother of four, She has four dogs, enjoy pickleball, and spending time with her grown kids and her sweetheart Rob. She has been married 22 years. She began in Marketing in 1994 (before internet) at CMG working for Northwest Airlines and helping handle their direct mail campaigns. There she learned how to interact with clients, manage an entire project and communicate with a team. 

Tori is one of our digital marketing specialists, she enjoys getting to know new businesses and figuring out unique and creative ways to market their brand. She loves a humorous content feed (and creating it where its fits). She also helps clients with email blasts and blogging. Tori is a recent business and marketing graduate from The U of M- Crookston and has been in the marketing field since. You can usually catch Tori and her fiance outside enjoying the sun with their two dogs. If that isn’t the case, Tori is either at the lake, hanging with friends or her mom, grabbing coffee, or strolling the aisles of Target. One day you will catch her road tripping to Banff.. with the dogs of course.

Marea has been a graphic designer for more than 15 years (she won’t admit to how long, as a lady never reveals her age) and has extensive experience with print and digital design, photography and photo editing, video editing, copywriting, brand development, social media management, blogging, web design, and more.  

While she started at Red Technologies as a designer, Marea has morphed her role into more than just visual communications. She writes many of the blogs and content on our clients’ sites, dabbles in social media and marketing, and loves creating animated content.

Marea is mildly obsessed with typography and fonts, and is probably silently judging your font choice. 

When she’s not wearing one of her many hats at Red Tech, Marea is hanging with her husband, their 2 kids, and 3 cats, baking, biking, crocheting, rocking out to live music either in person or watching grainy live-streams of concerts, volunteering with her kids’ sports on all the boards, or obsessing over baseball.  

Sydney is an entering her senior year at UT Austin.  Sydney is majoring in Writing & Rhetoric.  She has a passion for writing and loves creating and writing content for our clients through blogs, website content, or any other writing project that gets sent her way. Sydney loves travelling and music and enjoys finding safe and creative ways to hang out with her family and friends amidst the pandemic. Judas by Lady Gaga and Rules by Doja Cat help keep her motivated and she is dreaming of the day she can return to her most beloved travel destination, Vail Colorado.
