Red Technologies celebrates milestone anniversary with AWC

When our company was founded, we knew it would be crucial to partner with strong female business leaders in our area. One of our longest professional relationships has been with the Association of Women Contractors (AWC), a group celebrating 25 years of leadership in the Twin Cities. The AWC focuses on advancing women-owned businesses in the construction industry through enriching membership, collaborating with business partners, industry leadership, and advocacy. For eight years, we have partnered and supported the AWC and were grateful to attend the annual 2020 luncheon celebrating their silver anniversary.

Since 1995, the AWC has grown from a small group of women in the construction industry, into a diverse community of more than 200 professionals working on projects of all sizes throughout Minnesota. Members work hard to collaborate on projects, network, and serve as a voice for women empowerment throughout Minnesota. While the core focus of the AWC is directed at Women Business Owners in construction, the group also supports other business categories as well. AWC members highlight one anothers industry capabilities, while also offering opportunities to grow professional networks, and by representing common values in policymaking.

At this year’s luncheon, the AWC honored long standing partners and those celebrating anniversaries. The group also debuted new learning opportunities and partnerships, while celebrating the tremendous growth it has seen over the past 25 years.

Red Technologies is proud to work with the AWC in developing and maintaining their website and bidboard. To learn more about the AWC, their partnerships, scholarships, or learning opportunities, please click here.
